A faith-filled poem and prayer on feeling buried by life’s storms—and our Deliverer, who calls us out, clears a path forward, and leads us onward toward hope.
Jen, thank you. I was struggling this morning. Through this piece, you reminded me to set my gaze on my Deliverer. He is the God of breakthroughs. Bless you!
JENNNNNNNN! WHAT!!!! This is fabulous AND you taught us in the midst of this post! You showed us the process of your emotions and the amazing attributes of Jesus and how you formed a poem out of it. I think MANY people can relate to this beautiful poem, including me. I LOVED IT! I am so proud of you! God is using you Jen!! Love you, Ash 🩵
Your reflection on being buried in sadness helps. I didn't anticipate struggling with the colder weather in Tennessee because we usually don't have snow and not many bitter cold days. This winter is different.
The poem is evocative of our longing for God's touch and the not-quite-home feeling this side of heaven. I loved it.
Thank you Maureen, you’re always so encouraging! I often start with lists trying to identify what I’m wanting to really communicate. (I’m still not thrilled with my ending so I know I will keep working on it.)
Praise to our Lord that He’s the One who digs us out! Yes and yes to this poem. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Aww, Annette, sorry to hear you’re struggling, but your comment gave me happy tears 🥹. Glad to hear the Lord used it to remind you about Who He is❣️🙏🏻
Grateful for others showing us how to process. Loved how He shows up in it with us! Thank you for being vulnerable ❤️.

Especially touching just now. Thank you, Jen, for sharing your gift
Oh Pam, praying for you as Jesus leads you through the storms to the other side!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❣️
