Do the Leaves Dance?
Do the Leaves Dance?
Do the leaves shake and shiver In response to Mighty Wind Quaking and aquiver about shedding outer tint? Do they freak when it’s howling Hide faces upside down, Afraid to face what’s coming As autumn melts down? Do they fear the Master’s cadence So quickly coming nigh; Is ceasing to make chlorophyll A cause for many sighs? Might they wait in anguish Watching others letting go, Cascading back and forth To end up somewhere no one knows? Do the leaves scream in terror At a robust gust of wind Gasping in horror at the sudden loss of limb? OR… Do they wait so patiently Their purpose yet to learn-- The master’s plan unfolding, Releasing them in turn? Do leaves await with bated breath That final spiral dance? Flaming—blazing-- fire for Him—one last glorious chance? Do they shine with deep conviction, As hearts begin to swell-- Finding rest in His good purpose Displaying His story well?
(And do we?)

That is so beautiful Jen. It brought tears to my eyes!
This is beautiful.
