Happy Resurrection Sunday!
Some Songs to Celebrate--Traditional and Modern Takes on Favorite Hymns
Happy Resurrection Day!!
Praise God for Jesus!
It is finished, and Jesus lives! We are saved for eternity through His free gift of salvation—how amazing!
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
Heb. 10:12, ESV
Here are a few celebratory songs for you—”Christ the Lord is Risen Today” by the Tabernacle Choir (because they’re always so good!), and then some modern takes on old hymns :)—Because I love both styles!
(The modern ones come from a new Tommee Profitt concert titled "Resurrection of a King”—click if you want to see the trailer).
For Worship:
For my traditional hymn lovers:
Christ the Lord is Risen Today by the Tabenacle Choir
For my modern worshippers: Tommie Profitt is a pianist and composer. His songs can get loud (so they may not be for everyone), but these are some of my favorites this year, sung by CeCe Winans, Bay Turner, and Phil Wickham.
Jesus Paid it All by Cece Winans and Tommee Profitt
This one is just the audio for It is Well (Because He Lives) by Bay Turner and Tommee Profitt
And He Arose by Phil Wickham and Tommee Profitt:
Thankful!
