How God Sees You
You may see brokenness. He sees His Beloved.
Hope in Defeat…
Six pairs of eyes stared back at me as I squinted at the meeting on my computer. They could hear me, but once again, I couldn’t hear them. Rats.
I’d encountered this same issue the week before, after my computer updated. I vaguely remembered that I’d fixed this six months earlier, but couldn’t recall exactly how.
This time, I’d checked all the sound settings and thought I got them working. But here we were again, with my pod members awaiting me.
I sighed in frustration, feeling defeated. Then grabbed my phone, thankful that the sound on it would still work for our meeting.
Managing technology and staying on top of updates always wears me out. In these less-than-perfect moments, it’s easy to see ourselves as broken, inadequate, flawed, or incapable.
But God sees us differently—loved, chosen, known, worthy of compassion, worth dying for, and worth rejoicing over.
I wanted to share some verse reminders for both of us, about just how very much God loves us!
How DOES God See Us?
1. Jeremiah 31:3 — God sees us with everlasting love
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”
His love isn’t temporary, conditional, or dependent on how well we’re doing with technology, which is great news! :)
2. Psalm 139 — God sees us as wonderfully made
“O LORD, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up…” (v. 1-3).
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (v. 13-14).
Before anyone else ever saw us, God saw us. He formed us intentionally and knows how he made us.
3. Psalm 103:13–14 — God sees our weakness and responds with compassion
“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.”
God knows what we’re made of. He knows our limits, our frailty, our humanity—and He responds with compassion, not condemnation.
4. Romans 5:8 — God sees us even in our brokenness
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
We don’t have to become lovable before God loves us. He loved us while we were still sinners.
5. Zephaniah 3:17 — God delights in His people
This one might actually be my favorite:
“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Think about that for a moment.
God rejoices over us. Not merely tolerates us or forgives us.
He rejoices over us! Amazing!
God’s Love is Constant
Did reading these verses refresh your view on how God sees you today?
Here’s one final thought to ponder:
What if we started believing what God says about us?
(Not just what we tend to think or say about ourselves…)
How might that change our days?
Grow With Me?
Pick one of these verses and write it down to post as a reminder.
Memorize it if it helps you!
Hiding God’s word in our hearts helps us “renew” our own thinking.

This post is a keeper Jen. I will set aside time to dwell on these scriptures. Seeing myself God’s way makes all the difference in the world! Your yellow rose tinged with pink is a favorite!
