On Heaven's Doorstep
When Friends Are Called Home
Intro…
I wrote this poem over a month ago when a friend unexpectedly entered a hospice situation. I’m sharing it here today to honor her final journey (without the personalization).
She grabbed Jesus’ hand last night, and this is her first full day in heaven with him. Can you even imagine?
Yet, those of us left behind will mourn, not without hope, but out of great love. For those who know the hope of eternity and salvation have a Healer and fellow mourner to walk alongside us.
Praise God for his great mercy in Jesus, and his Holy Spirit left to comfort us…
The Poem…
Thank you friends, for reading. Please lift up this friend’s family as they deal with all that a loss of this magnitude entails for them.

Jen, this is amazing. This could be on Etsy and be used for many. Every funeral home should get a copy of this! Thank you for writing. I will use this and share it with my 85 year old, grieving, depressed mom.
JEN! WHAT!!! This is absolutly amazing! Wow. I am so glad you reposted this. This is beautifully written. Very comforting as well for loved ones who have or will enter into heaven. You did a great job with this piece. Sending love to you my friend! Ashley
