A Poetry Reflection for Good Friday
"The will of the Father foremost in your mind,
Self-preservation surrendered for this time.
To drink the cup of wrath for all of humankind
Torches in the distance bring the Fatherβs signβ¦
(The crowd will jeer and leer and spear;
For His name, youβll persevereβ¦)"
It's funny how these words capture beauty & wrench my heart simultaneously. Thanks for sharing, Jen π
Thanks for reading Keegan!
Hallelujah, what a Savior. Amen and amen, sister in Christ.
Thanks Lauri! A Blessed Resurrection Day to you! ππ»
Thank you Cheryl. It was surely inspired as I wrote it Maundy Thursday of last year. Thanks for reading and for your feedback!
