There is Room at the Manger
(When There's No Room at the Inn)
Merry Christmas!
I wrote this poem at Christmas 2023, and wanted to share it again this year.
“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’” (Luke 2:10-11, NIV).
There is Room at the Manger
Have you ever felt excluded, Left behind, or just pushed out? Forgotten, unimportant, Someone with zero clout? Then journey to the manger, Babe born of virgin’s womb; Stand between the shepherds and the Kings—for there is room! There is room for your attention, And kneeling down in awe; Room for you to worship Our king who ransoms all. Amidst those keen to follow Whether lowly or elite, There is room for adoration! Lay your offerings at His feet. Praise God, we’re not forgotten! Only deeply loved and known… There will always be room for you Before our Savior’s throne. So make way to the stable, His arrival will be soon! Rejoice, your king is present AND there’s always, always room.
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.” (Matt. 2:11, NIV).
