With Him: A Soul at Rest
A simple poem about peace, joy, and freedom in the presence of Jesus.
Hello, Friends!
Wow, it’s been quite a week/month/summer/fall!
You too?
Yesterday, we awoke to that crisp air that spreads the first fingers of frost across the grass, and I raced for my fuzzy robe. . . brrr. . . yep, seasons are shifting, but God is still on the throne.
The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. (Ps. 103:19, ESV)
As fall winds down and the golden light blazes through multicolored trees, I find myself so involved in activities that I am missing time to write.
I’m busy taking walks to enjoy the glory of autumn, cleaning out the garage, tending to late-season produce, putting away deck furniture, and blowing the never-ending cornucopia of fallen leaves, etc., etc.
You as well?
Here is a simple poem for when life gets hectic and we need to reorient ourselves by taking that all-important quiet time with Jesus, the only one who makes us whole!
With Him
With Him I can breathe; I am whole, I am free. With Him I can dance! Laugh and sing, Let go of rants! With Him I have peace. I slow down And let Him speak. With Him Time stands still I am humbled I am filled. With Him I see my sin And desperately cling to Him. Without Him, I just can’t. I am not. I never am. Without Him, There’s no fruit, It’s easier for Sin to root. Not so hard With Him, I muse; He’s the Way— Our Simple Truth.
Remember:
With Him, I am whole. Without Him, I am not.
So rest your soul. Breathe deep. Be with Him.
The One who makes every soul whole.
May you find quiet time for peace and rest in Jesus today!

For Worship:
Deep by Abbey Gamboa and Aohhan King, a newer worship song that I love because they sing about the “secret place”— going deep with Jesus in his presence.

Love this!!!
Nice.
